Christmas Break

I took Madison to the library for story time.  The librarian turned into Ruby the Red Nose Reindeer.

She has Santa's potion that tells us if the kids are naughty or nice.  If you are on the nice list the bubbles won't pop.

Madison is on the nice list...she really liked the bubbles.

Walking around temple square while Tyler went in for a session.

She liked looking at the nativity outside.  However, I think her favorite part of Temple Square was visiting the "Big Jesus".

She wanted to keep her baby warm.

We picked Tyler's brother Jacob up at the airport and then went back to Temple Square to see the lights.

Madison's new best friend.  Jacob admitted that he got sick of reading books to Madison.  I can't blame him.

He even showed her some magic tricks.  She kept wanting more.  Madison wasn't duped--when the card disappeared she grabbed his hand and found it.

Madison really didn't want to go to bed.  She thought it would be more fun to play catch with a dirty diaper.

A message from Madison.

Timber!!!

We went with the Ames to cut down a Christmas tree while visiting for Thanksgiving.  I thought it was really fun.  The tricky part was finding a tree that was worthy of approval by Lynn.  I admit, there weren't tons of options.

Poor Madison, we took snow apparel and boots up to Idaho for her, but left them at the house as we weren't really expecting to be in snow.

And the search continues...

Madison wanted to ride on the tree like royalty back in the day.

Going home.  So this is my Bananna Republic coat that I snagged for $14.  I didn't love the color at first, but I love wearing it.

Checking Amazon for their tv deal that would show up without warning.  We were lucky and not only snagged a 50" Toshiba for $200, but we didn't have to be online all day either.

Thanksgiving wouldn't be Thanksgiving without a hat.

Daddy's Little Helper

Madison got into some lipstick when we weren't looking.  This was the next day after her bath.  Let's just say this was some top quality stuff because I tried scrubbing her cheeks and it would not come off.  Luckily, I found one single makeup remover cloth in a drawer and it took the lipstick off.

I tried to get him to go to bed.

Madison is really chummy with grammy when they came to visit.  Grammy was even lucky enough to read Madison a bunch of books.

She wanted Gillian to curl her hair, yet she doesn't seem too excited.

Getting ready to go help dad shovel some snow.

Taking a break for a photo.

Time to get back to work.

My parents bought Tyler a wet/dry vac for his birthday.  I would have bought one years ago if I thought he would want to vacuum more.

Madison's diaper leaked all over her pants when we were in Provo.  We still went and ran some errands.  Madison just had to go pantless.

I admit she was a bit ghetto looking with different socks on and no pants.

Lois has this grinder from the 1800's.  She came over and we made raisin oatmeal cookies and ground the raisins up.

They were good, but not better than regular oatmeal raisin cookies. I don't think it was worth the effort, but glad that Lois could come and show us something new.

Can you guess which one is old and which is new?  We have had our oxo scrubber since we were first married.  I didn't want to spend $10 for a new scrubber, so we have used the same one for three years now.  Actually, it was kind of grossing me out, so I stopped using it on my dishes.  Turns out you can just buy refills from Amazon for $4 for two.  I wish I had known that a while back.
