Story time.

Both Madison and Clark like to be read stories.

The Thumb

He has finally found his thumb after weeks of chewing on his fist and pointer finger...and it makes him happy.

Snow Days

A blizzard has been in the forcast for some time now.  It's suppose to break the record of snowfall in D.C.  We had a small dusting on Wednesday.  Madison wanted to go outside and build a snowman.  Instead we played chase.  Last night was when the real snow started coming.  We still had friends over as they consider Marylanders wimps in the snow (they are from Rexburg and Michigan).  It has snowed all night and is suppose to continue until mid day tomorrow.  We couldn't open our front door this morning, so Tyler had to go out our basement and walk around the block.  Madison went out and played the whole time while Tyler shoveled.  All she wants to do is go play in the snow.

Clark's Blessing

My parents, along with Clarice, made the trip east for Clark's baby blessing.  Then they stayed to visit D.C. for a few days.  Madison hit it off really well with Clarice.  They drove in my parents van to the D.C. temple to see the Christmas lights.  When we got there someone said that Madison talked the whole way (hour drive).

I cut my bangs the next day upon seeing these pictures.  I will also say that I see someone 15 pounds lighter in the mirror than I do when I looked at these pictures.

Christmas Activities

We drove 30 minutes south to see the Coca Cola Santa and his Christmas truck that is in Coke's Christmas commercials.

We did get a nice family one with Clark and Tyler in it from Coke.

Out seeing the Christmas lights on 34th Street with my parents the Sunday Clark was blessed.  The whole street decorated...like crazy,  Here I am trying my new Ergo carrier.  This one sells for about $160 and I couldn't find it on sale anywhere during Black Friday.  I ended up getting this one used on Ebay for $50, which is a steal.  Feeling lucky that I got it.

The ward Christmas party.  For the activity we made ornaments out of shrinky dink.  I haven't used that stuff since young womens.  We made some nativity ones.  I really liked it a lot.  Our ornaments are already put away, otherwise I would take a picture of them.

For decorations every family took a large post it note home and made a snowman.  It was lots of fun to see what people did.  We made ours for FHE.

This one was my favorite...can you tell we have some artist in the ward?

Ours is the one on the far right with Madison's hand prints.

Best Friends (Camera Dump)

Madison and Clark and best friends...

Well..sometimes.  This is when she bounced him so hard that we took him to the ER.  Here he is getting his ultrasound.  Then we went and got an MRI.  The MRI machine was pretty crazy--I had a key on string that went to all my belongings in a locker and the MRI was pulling that key straight into the machine.  It was flying midair.

The first decorations in Madison's room.  The stack of circles I cut out on the left was only half the circles I used on the big lantern.

These two share some of the same interests.

They like to hang out together.

The day they became roommates.  Even better, Clark seems to be sleeping through the night.

Sad I know...the only picture we have of Christmas.

Bath time.  He really enjoyed it.  Usually he gets a shower, which he loves.  By usually, I really mean every once in a blue moon.  He should probably shower/bath more, but his skin has been so dry I don't want to make it worse.

This 6 month outfit from Christmas fits him perfectly.  More than anything, I love how this pictures shows his tummy in its true form--round and large.
