Sneaking Cake

We brought home some of Costco's massive chocolate cake from a birthday party.  Found Madison having a taste after church.  I'm surprised to find her at the table eating it.  Usually she takes her food and hides in a corner.  It sure was good, but I'm glad it is out of the house now.

Big boy

He doesn't look like a baby to me in these photos.  How quickly time flies by.

Does this picture not scream mini Tyler?

I needed some carrots for some soup, but didn't have any in the fridge.  Good thing we had a few left in the garden.  There are none left now, but I had fun growing them.  I think we shall grow them again next year.

Relaxation Time

One afternoon we just took it easy.  Tyler pulled out his guitar and played some music for the kids, which they loved!

Nothing more interesting than a dirty beat up shoe.  If you look closely you can see a darker brown near the top.  That is from Clark chewing on it.

Notice Madison sitting in the guitar case.

Idaho Falls

Here are just a few photos from visiting the Ames family in Idaho Falls this summer.  It was a very enjoyable time.  Madison and Clark loved being able to go outside and eat all the raspberries and strawberries to their hearts content...so did Tyler and I.

A few family pictures.  These might not be the best, but I didn't actually want to take the time to go through all of them.

I think this shirt makes me look pregnant in pictures.  I'm not..just in case you wondered.

Story Time

On Tuesdays we go to the library for story time.  There are a lot of Asian people who bring their kids.  The library purchased multiple books in both English and Chinese (or some Asian language).  One day they had a parent volunteer and translate.  This lady was the only person who offered.  I think it might be because it is so difficult to read Chinese that others wouldn't be able to actually read the book.  It was fun to watch.

Dining Room Makeover

In the summer we redid some of our furniture.  It was time for a change.

We were without our table for 2 1/2 weeks.  I was so very happy when we finally got it back into the house.  We had to sand the table a couple of times.  The first time we weren't done and it started raining, so we had to put a finish on quickly to protect the wood.  Then we sanded the finish off and completed the sanding a second time.  Then we stained and started applying finish, but made a mistake.  So we had to sand everything off again, restain, and reapply the finish.

I'm just glad it is done and am happy with the end result.
